Men's Volleyball Starts Season Strong!

February 13, 2024

The men's volleyball team recently traveled to Illinois to compete against Lourdes University (Ohio), The Master's University (California), and Judson University (Illinois). We finished this non-conference tournament 2-1 with Daniel Galili totaling 36 K and 41 pts, along with 20 K and 24 pts from André Lucas Alves Leandro. The men prepare to travel next weekend to Sioux Center, Iowa, to play Morningside University, Saint Ambrose University, and Dordt University. Matches are on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at 12:30 and 5:00 p.m.

Continuing to compete at the highest level would not be possible without the support of alumni, family, friends, and boosters, like you. Please consider making a donation to our program to assist with costs associated with travel, purchasing new equipment and scheduling competitive opponents. With your help, we will remain a top program in the NAIA!

Looking Forward to the Season

November 21, 2023

Athletics is a way to diversify the students who GV educates. The men’s volleyball team speaks 7 different languages and represents the full socioeconomic spectrum, and 40% are first-generation college students. Supporting our program helps these student-athletes receive a great education.

Grand View men’s volleyball student-athletes have been successful both on and off the court. Two of the three head coaches for GV have been alumni of the program. One former player now runs his own local coaching business. Several former players now play professionally in the U.S. or overseas, one has qualified for the AVP tour, and several have gone on to coach at other schools in the U.S. Multiple graduates from the program are now employed in the Des Moines/Iowa economy in fields such as data science and sports medicine. Supporting the men’s volleyball program means you're supporting the future of the players and of the local economy.
