The team traveled to Kansas to compete in the Annual Heart of America Conference Championship alongside the GV Dance team.
The cheer team placed 3rd out of 9 teams. This was the first season with new coaching staff, Head Coach Sarah Buss (Coach SB), Assistant Coach Penelope Olsen '23 (previous 4-year GV cheer athlete), and Assistant Coach Macee Buss.
After the competition, Coach SB said "Our conference performance really highlighted what not only an amazing group of resilient athletes they are but that they are a family. I could not be prouder of them".
GV Cheer also had the following 2024 Heart of America All Conference Athletes:
Second Team: Addi Powell
Honorable Mention: Riley Arseneau, Adeline Chance, Carley Jansen
The team is excited for next year and recently hosted their new recruits for a signing day at the University, highlighting their performances and getting the recruits excited for next year. The program needs your help to continue to grow, remain competitive, recruit, travel, and increase the quality of the sport for the student-athletes.
